The Platform gives those representations governed enterprise context; it is not a universal system of record and does not require every operational database to be copied wholesale into one central system.

Each responsibility adds a bounded capability to governed understanding. Together they form a progression, rather than a set of unrelated products.

Governed knowledge
Metadata Engine
Interprets the metadata that gives a governed publication its stable identity, lifecycle, governance and relationships. This single responsibility means runtime capabilities consume a consistent account of a publication rather than each reinterpreting its source material.
Boundary: It is not a generic metadata catalogue or a replacement for operational metadata platforms.

Canonical representation
Enterprise Corpus
Provides the canonical runtime representation of governed Enterprise Reality knowledge. It makes governed publications available as a coherent runtime collection without collapsing the source repository, a document store or operational databases into one thing.
Boundary: It is not the source repository, a data lake or an indiscriminate copy of enterprise data.

Relationships
Knowledge Graph Engine → Enterprise Reality Graph
Projects governed identities and authored relationships from the Corpus into a canonical graph representation, so enterprise context can be navigated consistently. The graph represents relationships; the Knowledge Graph Engine does not infer them.
Boundary: The graph does not reason, and it is a representation of Enterprise Reality—not Enterprise Reality itself.

Reasoning
Reasoning Engine
Evaluates what the available governed evidence and explicit rules justify. Its outcomes remain traceable to relevant evidence and explain why a result is justified, unsupported or indeterminate.
Boundary: Reasoning does not invent evidence, hide conflict or turn an evidence gap into certainty.

Automation
Automation Engine
Consumes governed Enterprise Reality and reasoning within established policy and authority boundaries. It coordinates only the actions that are permitted in that context.
Boundary: A justified conclusion is not, by itself, authority to act; automation does not own enterprise authority.

Advisory AI
AI Runtime
Operates over governed Enterprise Reality to support explanation, recommendation, conversation and assistance. It remains downstream of representation, relationships, reasoning and automation.
Boundary: Enterprise Reality is authoritative. AI is advisory: it does not establish truth, approve a decision or execute action.
Justified, not assumed
Reasoning preserves the limits of evidence
The Reasoning Engine assesses relevant governed evidence against explicit rules. A result can be justified, unsupported or indeterminate. Conflicting evidence stays visible where applicable, and an insufficient-evidence outcome is a legitimate result—not a defect to be concealed.

Architectural clarity
What the Platform is not
It is not a replacement ERP or CRM, enterprise data warehouse, data lake, generic knowledge graph, generic workflow engine, AI platform, universal system of record or autonomous decision-maker.
Its role is to make governed Enterprise Reality executable while preserving the responsibility of the systems and people around it.
