What a coherent account preserves
Stable identity precedes representation
A person, property, organisation or obligation needs a stable identity before records from different systems can be understood as referring to the same thing.
Relationships give identities context
Relationships connect identities across the enterprise: resident and property, obligation and policy, inspection and repair. Context comes from those connections.
Events and time explain change
Events establish what changed and when. A current record without history may not explain how the current situation came to be.
Evidence and provenance explain belief
Evidence supports, contradicts or leaves an assertion unresolved. Provenance preserves where an observation came from and the circumstances in which it was recorded.
Conflicting and incomplete observations remain visible
A governed representation does not erase disagreement or fill an evidence gap with certainty. It makes the limits of what is currently justified inspectable.

Coherence does not mean forcing all observations into agreement. It means making the identities, relationships, evidence, provenance and unresolved questions needed for accountable understanding available in one governed frame.

- It is not a single source of truth, master database or data lake.
- It is not a knowledge graph alone, and it is not AI.
- It does not replace ERP, CRM or other operational systems.
- It does not make evidence equal truth or automatically eliminate disagreement.

When an enterprise can inspect what its evidence supports and what remains unresolved, people can investigate, reason, decide and consider governed action with clearer accountability. These are enabled by understanding; they are not substitutes for it.
